Summary

Farmhouse C17 and C18, formerly dated 1664 on gable with initials W/EM for
Edward Worsley, Rector. Flint and brick, black glazed pantiles, gable
parapets. Irregular plan. Main range of 6 bays plus chimney bays to left
and right. 2 storeys and attic, forward wing to front (south) bays 4 and
5, C19 wing to rear (north) behind bays 4 and 5. End internal stacks to
left and right gables and to front and rear wings. Oversailing cornice.
Principal facade to south: bays 1 and 2 of brick with platband. Flush sashes
with glazing bars, those to ground floor with segmental heads. Very low
sashes to bays 1 and 2 with alternate brick voussoirs coloured; door to bay
3. Small blocked square opening to ground floor of left chimney bay and
to first floor of right chimney bay. Forward wing to bays 4 and 5 of 2
storeys and attic, gable of flint and brick mosaic, 2 blocked attic windows,
mezzanine sash. Left gable to west of coursed flint with decorative brick
lozenges and hearts; 2 blocked attic and 2 blocked first floor openings with
square brick hoods. Right gable to east raised. North facade to right of
C19 wing: coursed flint with part brick surrounds to former openings, 2 C20
crosswindows. 2-storeyed one bay wing rendered to west, platband and eaves
band, double leaved French window and first floor sash with glazing
